Current Positions:

Two Weeks Before Event

  • Miscellaneous (About 20 People): stuffing name badges, judge bags, school registration boxes, folding shirts, etc.

Wednesday, April 7th (Night) and Thursday, April 8th (Morning)

Registration
  • Register Schools (4 People)
  • Spray Paint Field for Bridge/Canoe Display (4 People)

Thursday, April 8th

Concrete Canoe
  • Canoe Display: Show schools where to set up. Help set up display locations at Sidewalk Café
  • Canoe Presentation: Help lost schools, coordinate and notify when schools are on deck/next for the technical presentation
  • Captain's Meeting: Assist at captain's meeting, help lost schools
  • Field Set Up (4 People): Set up buoys for race day
  • Unloaders (8 People): Unload schools' gear
  • Traffic Directors (3 People): Help schools' trailers make U-Turns on Cottage Grove
Steel Bridge
  • Bridge Display (3 People): Show schools where to set up. Help set up display locations in SEB parking lot Environmental
  • Water Retriever (2 People): Retrieve water from the wash at the Stan Fulton Building
  • Water Quality Tester (4 People): Test treated samples of water from each team
Mystery Event
  • Coordinator: Coordinate presenters on standby/next and lost people. Score Keeper
  • Judges (3 People): Need fun, energetic people to judge the mystery event! SUPER fun job!
Surveying
  • Tracker/Event Lead: Keep track of teams that are on the field and on deck.
  • Score Keeper (2 People): Records all scores, computes errors in teams' calculations
  • Field Supervisor (4 People): Keeps track of teams progress in the field/positions teams, turns in field notes from teams to score keeper

Friday, April 9th

Concrete Canoe
  • Race/Swamp Coordinator: Keep track of teams that are on deck/next for races, notify teams of any important news/updates
  • Time Keeper: Stay on safety boat to assist teams in case of emergency
  • Safety Boat (2 People): Stay on safety boat to assist teams in case of emergency
  • First Aid: Help teams with first aid or injured members
Scavenger Hunt
  • Verifiers (3 People): Verify gathered items from teams
Steel Bridge
  • Field Tapers (5 People): Help C. Parker tape competition build sites and loading areas.
  • Bridge Captain's Meeting: Assist at captain's meeting, help lost schools

Saturday, April 10th

Business Meeting
  • Coordinator: Coordinate presenters on standby/next and lost people
Geotechnical
  • Sandbox Inspector: Inspect all team sandboxes to verify they meet the standards and regulations
  • Sand Movers (6 People): Move the proper amount of sand to each team's location
  • Time Keepers (6 People): Keep track of time for each teams during assembly and execution stage
  • Score Keeper: Keep track of scores for each team
Sporting Events
  • Referees (About 15)
  • Point Keepers (About 9)
Technical Paper
  • Coordinator: Coordinate presenters on standby/next and lost people. Score Keeper
Steel Bridge
  • Site Set Up (2 People): Bring out equipment needed for bridge competition
  • Bridge Marshalls (8 People): Carry schools scoring sheets and are in charge of each teams bridge during competition
  • Load Stations (6 People): Give instructions to school on bridge loading
  • Tear Down (3 People): Pack up all equipment and remove tape from parking lot
